Naljor Yeshe Wangchuk Rinpoche
Naljor Yeshe Wangchuk Rinpoche was a true master of tummo, and dzogchen. He was one of the most brilliant
practitioners of the last century, and an inspiration to many.
When Chamtrul Rinpoche turned fourteen, and entered Mardo Tashi Choling Monastery, Naljor Yeshe Wangchuk Rinpoche took him under his wing, supervising his ngondro practices, and training him in tummo, and dzogchen. He became Chamtrul Rinpoche's first root guru.
Having instructed him to excavate a retreat cave, Naljor Yeshe Wangchuk Rinpoche went to see the progress. Before the floor had even been smoothed out and cleared of stones, he instructed him not to do any more, and said that time was best spent practicing, and that the cave is ready to serve as adequate shelter. There and then, Chamtrul Rinpoche began his intense practices.
